Odisha: Curfew remains in Bhadrak Odisha as clashes between two communities triggered by alleged abusing remarks on social networking site facebook against Lord Ram and Sita on Ram Navmi. As far according to the police sources 35 people have detained, while School and colleges were closed. The city is on high security as fresh violence erupted in some areas of Bhadrak about 130 km from Bhubaneshwar.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik tweeted "I sincerely appeal to all in Bhadrak for peace & harmony; have directed stringent action against any attempt to disrupt peace."

The incident took place last Friday night when youth members of Bajrang Dal, VHP and Sri Ramnavmio Committee staged demonstration outside the Bhadrak Town Police Station against the alleged abusive remarks and photos that goes viral on social media. The protesters goes angry went on streets, burnt tyres and vandalises shops. They clashed with police personnels and threw stones on them where a senior police officer also got injured.
Roads were blocked by the protesters near High school,Town hall, Bonth and Akhandalamani Chhak the police even made lathicharge to control the situation.
Odisha DG and Home Secretary also appealed to the protesters to mainatain opeace in the city.
