New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inauguarte numbers of project in Nagpur on Friday on the occasion of Babasaheb Ambedkar 126th birth anniversary. PM will start the visit from Deekshabhoomi where Dr.BR Ambedkar embraced the Buddhism with his followers on the occasion of Ashok Vijaya Dashami on October 14,1956.
Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao will also be the part of the function. PM will inaugurate the IIM Nagpur campus coming up with 150 acre plot of land ion Mihan. He will also inaugurate other premier institutes like the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Indian Institute of Information and Technology (IIIT) and Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) through video-conferencing from the Mankapur Indoor stadium.
He will also be the part of different government schemes organised by the NITI Aayog. PM will present the award to the winners of Lucky Grahak Yojana and DigiDhan Vyapar Yojna which was launched in December 2016 for incentivise digital payments in the country. PM tweeted "Will join culmination of the DigiDhan Mela, where I will present awards to Mega Draw winners of Lucky Grahak Yojana and DigiDhan Vyapar Yojna".
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also release the BHIM-Aadhaar interface, which will enable digital payments using biometric data. Based on this, people would be able to make digital payments without having a mobile phone, internet connection, debit or credit card.
Today he will be announcing several different projects on the occasion Dr.BR Ambedkar birth anniversary.
