UP Election: 26% vote polled till 12 noon for last battle

Lucknow: Final phase of voting for uttar pradesh assembly election begins on wednesday over 40 seats of seven districts.Modi's Parliamentary constituency Varanasi continues to be the centre of all attention, with a series of high-pitched political campaigns.over 22.84 percent voters voted till 11 am in the seventh and last phase of Uttar Pradesh elections.

The elections are being held in seven phases in Uttar Pradesh and so far six phases have been concluded peacefully. The results will be declared on March 11 along with that of Manipur, Uttarakhand, Goa and Punjab.

Pm Modi urged to the people said 'Today is the last phase of polls in Uttar Pradesh. I request you to mandatorily cast your valuable vote. 'Pehle Matdaan, fir Jalpaan' (First vote, then food),"Prime Minister tweeted.

For gaining as much as vote every party has done roadshow, rallies and had delivered the speech to influence the public, BJP Pm Modi had also done back to back rallies, road show public meetings as well as visited to the Kashi Vishwanath and Kal Bhairav temples and Ghadwa Ghat ashram during the last three days of his campaigning of final phase of voting in Varanasi.

In Uttar Pradesh polling for seven Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Bhadoi, Ghazipur, Jaunpur and Varanasi will conduct the voting today for the final phase of UP Polls tight amid security has been put in place in the these seven districts.

Counting of votes polled in the Assembly polls will be done on March 11. Polling began at 7 am and will continue till 5 pm in all constituencies, except the Naxal-hit Duddhi, Robertsganj and Chakia seats in Uttar Pradesh, where polling will end at 4 pm.
