Chennai: Tamil legend and icon of South films Rajinikanth, meets his fans in Chennai over eight years of long gap. He will meet his fans for four days, while addressing his fans Rajinikanth admits that he had a committed mistake by supporting a political alliance 21 years back and that was a political accident.

Further Rajinikanth said "if i decide to join politics, I won't allow wrong people to join me,I'll keep them away" some people use my name for 'Political gains'.

While addressing his fans chennai superstar said "Some of my fans urged me to join politics and it's not bad even to enter politics, but making money out of this is bad."

"If in case I decide to join politics, then those making money will not be entertained."

"God made me an actor and I promise Rajini will never ever disappoint his fans in acting," he added.

The 66 year old superstar was supposed to hold a similar meeting but had postpone on a request made by them for individual photographs where more than a number of group interaction was required.

Before this the last such meeting and the interaction was held in 2009 after the success of Shivaji.

In 1996 Rajinikanth had lent his support to the DMK-TMC (Tamil Manila Congress).

Rajinikanth's entry into politics has been the subject of guess for many years. Like MG Ramachandran and late J Jayalalithaa in Tamil Nadu, and N.T. Rama Rao in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.

Later he clears that meeting was not political.
