Media played major role in the development of Sri Lanka: President Sirisena

Utkarsh sinha Colombo: The occasion was of 61th foundation of Sri Lanka Press Association. And at this prestigious moment to honor the program Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena came as chief guest. The program held at Bhandarnai auditorium, Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena and National Chief Secretary of IFWJ Parmanand Pandey lit the lamp and started the program.


IFWJ �President VV Mallikarjunaya, Principal Secretary Parmanand Pandey, Vice President Hemant Tiwari Working Committee member and General Secretary Sanjay Dwivedi ecstasy Pandey flourishing national councilor Sinha, Kamran, TB. Singh, Pradeep Narayan, Brian Dube, Devaki Nandan Mishra, Dayanand Pandey, Geetika Talukdar, Sanoj Tiwari, besides poetry Talukdar Orissa, Karnataka, Assam, Uttarakhand and Delhi, including the country's total of 20 journalists has given souvenirs to the Chief guest President Maithripala Sirisena.


While addressing audience chief guest President Sirisen said that media plays a vital role in the development of any nation. He also added that development through media in the country is commendable. Through journalist only we get the right direction and right information of the condition on time. Journalist from India and Sri Lanka exchange of information through programs has been provided, and which is commendable.


National Chief Secretary of IFWJ Parmanand Pandey and Vice President Hemant Tiwari highlighted the development of the media and the nation. On the occasion of Sri Lanka Press Association's of 61st Foundation Day to be held on October 25 at the invitation journalists from different country came to attend the event.

On their 7 day tour the delegation from Colombo, Kandy, Ratnpura, Numara Eliya, including with local media persons will participate in the programs organized by the Sri Lankan Tourism.
