Mulayam on Akhilesh | One who betrays his father, cannot be a friend of others

New Delhi: After the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, a morale-breaking wind has been blowing in the Samamjwadi Party and putting out the question of who will be controlling the party. The bitterness between the father and founder of the party Muklayam Singh and SP president Akhilesh Yadav continues.

Lok Sabha MP Mulayam Singh Yadav slammed Akhilesh Yadav for his revolt against the then party leadership and family ahead of Uttar Pradesh election.

"No father has made his son the CM during his own lifetime. And, what did Akhilesh do? He sacked his own uncle as a minister in his government," Mulayam said.

"I have never been insulted so much," Mulayam Singh said.

After Mulayam Singh made his brother Shivpal Yadav the UP unit chief of Samajwadi Party, a bitter political war between the father and son was started, both within the party and in the family. After which Akhilesh revolved and sacked his uncle Shivpal from the government .In what followed, two obvious camps were formed within the party with Akhilesh Yadav and and Rajya Sabha MP Ram Gopal Yadav shooting down every move of the other side led by Mulayam Singh and Rajnath Singh.

Later, Akhiles and Ram Gopal were expelled from the Mulayam-Shivpal camp. Akhilesh camp the summoned the national convention of the party and removing Mulayam Singh Yadav as the Samajwadi President.

Akhilesh was made the Samajwadi Party's president making it clear that the founder has lost control of over his was political outfit.

The tussle between Akhilesh and Mulayam Singh went to the Election Commission. The poll panel recorgnised the Akhilesh faction and allowed it to us the official elction symbol- cycle – of the Samajwadi Party in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Polls.
