Opposition stands for raising national security issues, relations with China and Kashmir in Parliament

New Delhi: The India-China border tensions and the growing Kashmir unrest will be raised by the Opposition parties said on Friday, standing tall with the Centre amid the chaos and have decided to mention it in the Parliamentary briefing next week.
Congress leader Ghulam Nabui Azad and Anand Sharma told reports that their party has raised some doubts before the government making clear its stand clear that "nation is first" weather its China or Kashmir.
"There is too much of tension and that should be lowered through diplomacy. We will also raise the issue in Parliament," both leaders said.

Sharma said that Congress made it clear that national security should be the first priority and advised the government to rise above politics in order to handle the situation diplomatically.
CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury asked the government to reflect and introspect why "suddenly" India's relation's along the border region have "deteriorated."
The Marxist government slammed that government as to why the "intelligence inputs available before the attack on Amarnath pilgrims "was not used" and how the bus carrying pilgrims was allowed to go off on its own, and demanded accountability for the "lapse" be enforced immediately.
Yechury restating the Opposition's position said that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has "worsened" in the past three years and asked the government to correct its "faulty" approach.

Also, accused the government from backing off from its promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the rest of India that "it should implement confidence-building measures and start the political process with all stakeholders.
"The government must answer", he stressed.
The Rajya Sabha member also said that the growing instances of lynchings and attacks on minorities and Dalits making the picture look bad in terms of internal security in the country making it a "matter of great concern".
