New Delhi : Chinese major in mobile phones, Huawei has come out with yet another new handset in Honor series. Equipped with fingerprint scanner facilities the new Honor 4X was launched in the Indian market on Wednesday. The new Huawei is suited for the mid segment of Indian mobile market.
Huawei-owned online sub-brand Honor has launched the successor to the Honor 4X, called the Honor 5X in China at a price of $157 (2GB RAM variant) and $220 (3GB RAM variant). The Honor 5X is a mid-tier phone with mid-range hardware, with a handy fingerprint scanner thrown in to keep things interesting.
The Honor 5X comes with a 5.5-inch FullHD IPS display with a 1080x1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz cta-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable by up to 128GB via microSD card.
It sports a 13-megapixel camera with dualLED flash on the rear along with a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The Honor 5X uses a 3,000mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 which can charge the phone by up to 50% in just 30 minutes. The Honor 5X will also have a dualSIM variant with support for 4G LTE on both slots.
The company recently launched the Honor 7 in India at a price of Rs.22,999. The Honor 5X comes with a 5.2-inch IPS-NEO LCD display with a 1080x1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by a Huawei's home-grown HiSilicon Kirin 935 chipset with an octa-core processor (quad-core 2.2GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53) with Mali-T628 MP4 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
