New Delhi. The Ministry of Labour, Government of India has written a letter to the Principle Secretary (Labour), Smt. Anita Bhatnagar Jain (IAS), Government of Uttar Pradesh asking her to oversee the implementation of the recommendations of the Majithia Wage Board because the primary responsibility of it lies with the State Governments/Union Territories. It must be mentioned here that as the IFWJ Secretary General Parmanand Pandey made a representation to the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi as early as 20.10.2015 to ensure the immediate implementation of the Majithia Award and payment of arrears to the employees. IFWJ Secretary General Parmanand Pandey wrote in details about the Majithia Wage Board, its recommendations and the decision of the Supreme Court in this regard drawing the attention of the Prime Minister towards by arbitrary suspension, transfer and termination of the services of employees. The owners of newspapers particularly Dainik Jagran, Rajasthan Patrika, Dainik Bhaskar and Hindustan Times have let loose the reign of terror and atrocities on the employees but the Governments, which claim to be the representatives of the welfare state are mutely, however, watching the sheer exploitation of the employees.
