New Delhi: In Lucknow, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav took a dip at the newly appointed chief minister Yogi Aditynatgh while addressing the party national executive meet on Saturday , saying that the former is a year older than him but much behind in terms of work.
Earlier, during the Uttar Pradseh Assembly polls , Adityanath took a dig at the leader of Cingress and Samajwadi Party who formed an alliance to on BJP. "I came in between Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav. I am younger by one year to Rahul and one year leader to Akhilesh Yadav. And I came between the two (Rahul and Akhilesh). This could be a major reason for their failure," he said.
The BJP whipped out the Samajwadi Party – Congress alliance by claiming 312 sears in the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly.
He also raised questions over suspension of Himanshu kumar, an IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre." Only policemen of one particular cast are being suspended or transferred. Everybody knoes. But will you report that ?" Akhilesh asked.
Kumar has been suspended days after he alleged that seniors are targeting subordinates of particular caste. The Uttar Pradesh police had earlier launched an investigation into the allegations made by the 2010 batch IPS officer in a series of tweets.
Himanshu who was recently transferred to the DGP HQ in Lucknow by the Election Commission, Later deleted his tweet. He was earlier posted as the Superintendent of Police in Manipuri and Ferozabad.
