Gorakhpur: BJP MLA Radha Mohan Das Aggarwal has refused to apologise to Circle officer Charu Nigam in an argument. IPS Charu Nigam Started crying when BJP MLA started shouting at her saying don't cross your limit.
Nigam was at the receiving end of the BJP leader's anger after she led a police team to evict some protesters in Kareemnagar area of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's home constituency.
"Why should I apologise? I was talking to her senior when the woman officer interfered. Police lathicharged people, old, pregnant women were thrashed by the police in the name of controlling crowd. I don't accept any accusations," Aggarwal Das told.
A video of the incident, which took place on Sunday , shows the BJP lawmaker shouting repeatedly at the woman IPS officer. "Tum mujhe mat batao..main aapse baat nahin kar raha hoon. Chup raho tum... bardasht ke bahar mat jao. (You keep quiet. I am not talking to you. Don't cross your limits)," Aggarwal is seen telling Charu Nigam while pointing fingers towards her.
Amid the exchange of IPS officer took out a handkerchief and wiped her tears, can bee ssen in the video.
"The MLA misbehaved with me and refused to acknowledge in full public view that he is speaking to a lady police officer," Nigam said.
According to the police, MLA was angry because she had removed some people, protesting against a liquor shop, whom he had told to stay put till he arrived. However, the MLA accused the police officer of high-handedness and rejected her accusations as baseless.
Later, the IPS Officer replied to her fb page to the BJP lawmaker.
